We Replaced Our Lippert RV Sofa After Only 2 Years!

If you’re in any RV groups, or you own an RV, it’s possible you’ve dealt with your sofa bubbling and peeling. When we bought ours a few years ago to swap out in our new RV, we thought those issues were in the past, but, unfortunately, they weren’t!

Two years into owning ours, we noticed bubbles starting to form where we leaned back against them, but it hadn’t gotten bad. And we even kept blankets on it to protect it. No problem–I snapped a photo and sent an email to Lippert, wanting to at least document the issue while it was early.

I expected to get it noted, or be told we were out of warranty, so was blown away when they told me to provide my proof of purchase and photos and they would REPLACE IT!

I knew when I purchased it and found the charge on my bank statement, but could NOT find my receipt to save my life. I called up Lazy Days RV in Tampa, where we bought it from, and was blown away to get transferred to a sales guy who found the info and sent me a new invoice for the claim.

With the documents in hand, I sent it over to Lippert via email and got confirmation to replace it. Unfortunately, we were chasing jobs across the country and not where we could catch a freight shipment. They told us to just reach out when we got stopped in the fall, so we did.

Sadly, our sofa was discontinued by then, so we had to pick a totally new one, but it was still covered and got to us quickly–just in time to have our family over for Christmas!

Now, we have a new sofa and that much more love for both Lippert and Lazy Days RV customer service!

I know we all hear horror stories and problems al the time, so we wanted to get it out there that it’s not always a bad experience. Always ASK–don’t assume the NO, but understand if that is the answer you get. Oh, and keep your receipts–ha! It may take a bit to get it done, but patience was a virtue that paid off for us big time!
