As we find things to save money, we’ll list them here. From the memberships we love, to ways to save on every day things like fuel.

Here is a list of things we love:

TSD OpenRoads: Membership that gets bulk prices at many truck stops around the US. Join here and use our link so they know we sent you: http://apply.myopenroads.com/r/BarnesOnMove
See a quick write on the Fuel Savings blog

Harvest Host: Great places to use as over night spots. Some have extra nights available. We love staying at places that have items like meats, museums, and farms. Go to this website and sign up. Yes there is a membership fee, and to us it is worth it. Harvest Host Referral Link (Boondockers Welcome is a part of this and if you like golf, chat with me before signing up)

Thousand Trails: A membership that includes many different camp grounds in the US. Being full time RVers we have used this on both the east coast and the west coast, and even down in the Keys. We look at the cost as a prepayment for camping, and using it we have kept our cost under $35 a night on average (overall). Check the blog ||Not yet posted|| for more information. Fill out the BarnesOnMove Referral Form to have our favorite agents contact you with more information.

Starlink: We have been using Starlink for a while and are happy with the connectivity we have been able to get while traveling. It has worked more effectively than our cell phone hotspot. With the Roam plan, we just turn it on and it works…of course, depending on obstructions. If you are looking for a kit, here is our referral link that should get you and us a free month. Starlink Referral Link I know you have to be a new customer, and order through the website.

Christian Healthcare Ministries: This is a group to share medical expenses. We are using this in case of medical emergencies that may happen while out on our adventures. Take a look if you need medical coverage (this is NOT insurance.) Here is our referral link.

RVMattress.com: They actually make comfortable mattresses that fit RV’s. Ours of about a year old has been a good nights sleep for us. When we have been forced to be away from our “home,” we found ourselves looking forward to getting back to our bed and the comfortable mattress. Take a look at what they have for your RV! Here is our affiliate link: https://rvmattress.pxf.io/BarnesOnMove. If you are just looking for a stationary mattress for your bricks and sticks home, we have you covered there too: brooklynbedding.pxf.io/BarnesOnMove.

Dog snack and water bottle: Support this small business and get a great product for your pup, whether you are driving, walking, or running errands! Luna loves the insulated water bottle with attached bowl and knows she’s going “on an adventure” when she sees us get it ready! https://dowgpet.com/

Shaka Guide: Explore scenic drives, walking tours, Hawaii, and even National Parks—all at your own pace and for a fraction of the cost of traditional tour groups. These self-guided audio tours offer regional and state bundles, making them an affordable and flexible way to travel.

Best of all, they take you to hidden gems that big tour buses can’t reach! We’ve personally used several and love how they highlight convenient stops for breaks, restrooms, food, and fuel along the way. It’s like having a personal tour guide in your pocket—wherever the road takes you.
