While in PA, we toured an old coal mine, learning about the history of this staple in our lives, as well as what it took to make it happen.
This glimpse into American history and the sacrifice made in this line of work, including my own family’s, was fascinating.
We spent a few days at Scotrun Thousand Trails in the Poconos catching up on life and exploring a coal mine!
May was a busy month for us, camping in 6 different states and Luther finishing middle school and starting his summer early.

We were excited to spend a day experiencing Amish Country in Pennsylvania, but even more excited when the farm we visited turned out to be pet friendly and Luna was able to explore, as well!
Hershey is a town we have visited several times–including on our honeymoon ages ago! With every trip, we find something else to enjoy in the town.

We closed out the 2024 camping season for this Thousand Trails park, located in beautiful farmlands of York County, PA.
As I am writing this on the last day of October, I can’t believe another month has gone by! We took the time to enjoy Fall, cooler weather, and the changing leaves in New England–something very new for us. As I reflect, I am still amazed at all we saw and did this month.
