Under the Redwoods at Mystic Forest RV Park

When we planned our visit to Redwood State and National Park, we wanted to find an RV park that was big rig friendly with hook ups and reasonable rates (and weekly rates), but was still close to the park.

There are tons of options in the area, but we settled on Mystic Forest RV park in Klamath, CA, just off the 101, and within the Redwoods State and National Park!

The proprietors, Patrick and Maya were RVers themselves, and found this location during their travels, before returning to take over the reins.

They have full hook up spots with a picnic table and fire pit and can fit large RVs to camper vans, tent and cabin campers, while still enjoying the beauty and peace of the Redwood forest.

The park was amazingly peaceful while still offering lots of amenities, and the shop on property has firewood and basic needs. We loved the hiking trails on property, as well as others to hike or drive to nearby–including one down to a beautiful beach with very few people. Their convenient location just off Highway 101 made it easy to access on arrival and throughout our trip. We also enjoyed many chats with the proprietors during our week with them. Many of the spots are tucked in the trees, but they do have a clearing in the center if you are like us and need Starlink for work (or teenagers). We had minimal cell coverage with Verizon for basic texting, so we were glad for the Starlink to stay in touch with friends and family.

We absolutely loved this area, and hope to visit again, so their park will stay on our list of favorite places to visit!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, you can check out their website, linked here, at Mystic Forest RV Park , or just call or text to make a reservation.

If you get there before we get back, keep an eye out for the painted rock we left behind with their collection!
