What to expect:

The walkable grounds were dog friendly. This allowed our pup Luna to explore all the places we were. Plenty of grass, and trash cans (IYKYK) for any business the pups needed to conduct. I did not see any dog water stations, so you may want to take a water bottle for the dog. The buildings were off limits to pets though.
The plants were all labeled in site, and there were exhibits about important people, and artwork throughout the grounds. We learned about Frederick Olmsted (father of landscape architecture) while overlooking a fountain and rolling hills. While flowers are blooming, expect colors everywhere.

With this being an “arboretum” we expected trees to abound, and The North Carolina Arboretum did not disappoint. Look at this Japanese Maple!

The Bonsai Tree exhibit was not yet back outside while we were there, but they were on display in the green house. These little trees show the care and love their owners take in the upkeep. They will be placed back in the exhibit May 10 and 11th during World Bonsai Day.
