With our time in Virginia closing, follow along as we head north to Ohio and West to Minnesota, spending a couple of weeks skirting along the shores of the Great Lakes, seeing friends, exploring new places and continuing west on our journey from Florida to Alaska.
Happy New Year! 2025 sure didn’t go like we thought it would, which means 2026 hasn’t lined up as expected either.

Driving through this arid stretch of Texas with a landscape dotted with oil rigs, it seems like there’s not a lot here to see.
When we found out about the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, though, we realized how wrong we were, and were glad we made time for this stop!
After reaching southern California, and the month of November, it was time to start our journey back to the east.

With cold weather settling in, it was time to start heading south.
Tillamook, OR, our first stop south has been on our list for awhile.
