Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge
While staying at Sunshine Travel Resort, a Thousand Trails Encore park near Vero Beach, we found a great hiking trail to explore. Pelican Island is located on the barrier islands and was only a 20 minute drive away.

As lifelong Floridians, and having spent the majority of our first 2 years of RV life in Florida, we have a few spots we return to time and again, whether for location, or the campground. Sunshine Travel Encore Resort in Vero Beach is one we have been to several times, and will continue to visit.
